Ingredients
100 grams | Basil (leaves only) |
40 grams | Pine nuts |
1 small | clove Garlic |
4 | Anchovies |
150 ml | Extra virgin olive oil |
1 dash | Salt |
Method
1 Wash off the dirt on the basil leaves if necessary. Wipe off the excess moisture well. You don't need to wash the basil leaves if they are clean!
2 If your pine nuts are unroasted, roast them lightly in a frying pan. Let them cool down.
3 Put all the ingredients except for the basil in a food processor or blender. Blend until a paste forms.
4 Then add the basil leaves to the blender. Once the basil has been incorporated, your pesto is done. It's easy to grow basil! You only need to sow basil seeds in spring or early summer, and they will grow. The basil in my place has grown well. I basically have a forest now. Try to grow them in your garden, too.
